This note concerning John Marion Bowyer, b 24 April 1842 in Miami Co., Ohio, was the son of Lewis and Malinda (Wilson) Bowyer. Of fourteen children, only two survive: John M. and Sylvester Bowyer. John M. Bowyer married Mary Susan DeLawter, 30 Nov 1865 (she was the daughter of Ezra and Sophia Heck DeLawter who were born in Frederick Col, MD in 1818 and 1817).
